Privacy policy
This policy explains what Northline Studio collects when you use this website or work with us, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to reply to you and do the work, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
Effective September 15, 2026
1. What we collect
- Contact form and email: your name, email address, project type, budget band, deadline, and anything you write in the brief.
- Project material: content you share for a project, such as copy, images, business details, and access to services you own.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider may record standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to run and secure the site.
- This site does not use advertising trackers. If we add analytics, we will list the tool here and what it collects.
2. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To do the work you hired us for and communicate about it.
- To keep records we need for invoicing, tax, and legal obligations.
- To keep the site running and secure.
We do not add you to marketing lists unless you ask. We do not sell or rent your information.
3. Who else sees it
- Service providers that help us run the studio: website hosting, email, document storage, invoicing, and, if configured, an email delivery service that forwards contact form submissions. They process data on our instructions.
- Contractors we bring into a project, under confidentiality terms, only when a project needs them.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
4. AI-assisted tools
We may use AI-assisted tools to draft, research, and check work. We do not put your confidential material into tools whose terms allow it to be used for training. Tell us if you want a project handled without such tools and we will confirm what we can do.
5. Retention
- Enquiries that do not become projects: deleted within 12 months.
- Project material: kept for the project and a reasonable period afterward for support, then deleted on request or on our routine schedule.
- Invoices and contracts: kept as long as tax and legal rules require.
6. Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set technical cookies needed to serve the site. Any embedded third-party tools would be listed in section 1.
7. Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email business@coryshort.com. We respond within 30 days. Some records must be kept for legal reasons, and we will tell you if that applies.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards: access controls, encrypted connections, and limited sharing. No method is perfect. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you promptly.
9. Children
This site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes
We post updates to this policy here with a new effective date.
